At Sail Jax Charters, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We operate year-round and understand that weather, especially during hurricane season, can be unpredictable. Below is our official weather policy to help clarify how we handle inclement weather situations:
A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit is non-refundable except in the case of weather-related cancellations determined by the Captain (see below).
We closely monitor local forecasts and marine conditions. The Captain has the sole discretion to cancel or postpone a charter due to unsafe weather, including:
If the Captain cancels your trip due to unsafe weather:
We sail in light rain, overcast skies, or spotty showers unless it poses a safety risk. These conditions do not qualify for cancellation or rescheduling unless otherwise deemed unsafe by the Captain.
During hurricane season, we monitor storm activity closely. If a named storm is forecast to impact our area:
The maximum of 6 guests in total, not including captain and crew.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your departure time to provide us an opportunity to greet you and complete required waivers, if you have not done so prior.
You are welcome to bring any food and beverages you would like with the exception of red wine or red food items.
Our vessel is very sturdy and will not heal over during the sail. Sea sickness is very unlikely. If you are ever uncomfortable during the sail, we welcome you to rest in one of the guest rooms or relax in the salon.
Swimming is prohibited during charters.
Please wear shoes with non-marking soles (deck shoes, tennis shoes, white-soled shoes, flip flops). Avoid hard soles, high heels and black rubber-soled shoes.
No, we do not allow guests to bring their pets on board.
